Indian Radio started transmission for about four hours as part of the British Malaya Broadcasting Corporation.The name of the corporation was changed to Radio Singapore. Station was renamed Indian Services of Radio Television Singapore (RTS). RTS became a statutory board called Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). Indian Station of Singapore was named Radio 4. Radio 4 was renamed Olikkalanjiam.SBC was corporatised with radio as a separate entity known as Radio Corporation of Singapore (RCS). The name of the station was shortened to Oli 96.8FM.Historic occasion for Oli 96.8FM.
